I had to watch a tutorial just to figure out how to set up a track with a VST and start recording on Reaper, its literally just "add track", "add VST", hit "record" button, which I easily figured out within 20 seconds of opening it the first time.Īnd that is literally the whole idea of the "intuitive" label. ![]() ![]() Stuff which is one click in Reaper will require clicking over to a different window, going into a menu, dragging and dropping something, and whatever else in FL Studio. on Reaper.įor FL Studio, I've been wasting so much time just figuring out how to do simple things. ![]() I knew what a compressor was, and I knew what multi tracking was for and all that stuff, so I wasn't going in completely blind, but I've virtually never had to waste time on futile menu-diving or figuring out how to do relatively simple things like routing, changing takes, manipulating track envelopes, etc. I taught myself on Reaper as my first DAW, and honestly, after spending 20 seconds figuring out how to add tracks/add VSTs to tracks, it was extremely easy to get into composition, arranging, mixing, etc., and I only occasionally had to google things or watch videos to figure out how to do something, or find an option I couldn't find or whatever. ![]()
